i remember i took some quiz abt which nct dream member i'm closest in personality with and i got jeno (i'm intp) so i think that's why i was wondering! i would like to know the explanations for both jeno and jisung

JENO ISTP (TI SE NI FE)

my initial jeno istp thoughts (from like 2020):

"Okay introverted clearly....He seems like an Se user -- athleticism often falls here (not always, but a Lot). Could he be a Ti-dom? (He does like cats...LOL.) That would make him ISTP. See, if he was an Fi-dom that would say ISFP -- but he doesn't seem particularly driven by values. We could put Se lower, but that pulls up Ni -- I can't recall Jeno being so linearly future-oriented, so I think it can't be his dominant trait; it has to be lower."

"I think Jeno is definitely Se-Ni, in some way. He said he likes making things and collected plastic models (Se)....In regards to food, Jeno continually refers back to his childhood experiences influencing his views of his favorite and least favorite foods, but these backward references are generally factual [(Se as opposed to Si)]."

JISUNG INTP (TI NE SI FE)

i thought he was infp (fi ne si te) all this while but i guess the one thing that does confirm is that i'm fairly confident he has ne-aux and tert-si. this can be seen in the jensung contrast: jeno is a guy of few words -- his top two functions are about internal thinking and perceiving physical surroundings -- whereas jisung has ne in his top two, which is the brainstorming function. thoughts in his head 24/7 and never shuts up about them according to jeno (who apparently likes that about him).

so the debate is between fi-te and ti-fe. i think i was thrown off by his dancing ability -- which isn't something very commonly associated with intps -- and also his heavily emotional side, which i read as infp. but i forgot to account for jisung is ~dpressed~ and ~also probably has anxiety~ and literally any mentow hewth issues drag u over to infpisms unforch. so i tried to focus beyond those surface-level traits. and i see that he is fascinated by gadgets and devices and how things work and knowledge and the world and shit. that's so intp. specifically ti. the exploration of knowledge for knowledge's sake. mental camp just SCREAMED jisung intp to me. "you are being a follower but u can also be a leader" YEAH. intps tend not to put themselves in a leader position unless it's necessary but they have ti. the strategy function. they can fucken do that shit if they wanted. also that number game, he had his game face on, he had a plan....how very ti of you pwark jwisong. and in 7llin fuckin around w the karaoke machine....his stupid gum container that he bought cos it had a unique mechanism in how it opened/provided a piece of gum....like okay rube goldberg. u can tell he's super in-his-own-head because he did not consider the consequences of that gum container mechanism in that literally any force applied to the bottom would eject a piece of gum....plus we were told that he walks around in circles muttering to himself like an insane person which he claims was him imagining scenarios and responding to them (that would be the ne). also never forget the time he stared at the bark of a tree like a fucken npc....amen.

he is for sure inxp in my mind and i'm willing to bet it is in fact intp rather than infp!! esp comparing to renjun who is very nearly a classic infp; they're similar but there are some subtle differences which set them apart, and i think it might be enough to give them different mbti types. so for now....in my mind....jisung intp.
